Im having the same problems here at my end. Upgraded to the latest 5.0.2 player, and can no longer get cinnamon 3D to work. The menu bars are gone, and mouse is not working.
Has to be some problem with 3D acceleration i guess.
Gonna try a quick whirl of installing Mint 14 Mate, and test some compiz stuff to see if that bugs out too.
PS. A clean install of Mint14 was working before the updater was run. But i do run Mint14 Cinnamon on my old compaq laptop with 3d acceleration (nVidia card).
