Re: VMWarePlayer - IOS error after 1st boot of W98

I don't know if you really understood my question.

I cannot launch Windows 98 without getting a error.

When I use the fail-safe mode, it works, but I cannot make anything ( Slow mouse - Refresh rate very slow - 640*480 as 16 coulours ) and the virtual CD-ROM is not visible, so cannot install VMWare additions.

When I use "Logged" to save boot in a file, I cannot find it. I reinstalled Windows 98, same problem. I reformated all my virtual drives, same problem. Some VMWare Player users said it's due of the limit of Windows 95 about processor ( Max 2.1 Ghz ) and I have exactly a 2.6 Ghz processor. Obviously, it's easy to guess, when I find a solution, I find a dead link. Other users are saying the problem's origin is the virtualization of hardware. I believe it is OFF, because I selected "Binary translation" and crossed "Disable acceleration for binary translation".

I understand nothing!

I inverted all values about hardware in configuration panel ( In safe mode ). I love to do this.

Now, it works!

But now, I have a new problem : It is impossible to access to CD-ROM ( Virtual CD-ROM for me ) of the Windows 98. I tougth it was not a issue in failsafe mode. But it does not work on any mode!
