Re: Activating Windows XP after transferring into a VM

Did you Google OEM?

OEM stands for "Original Equipment Manufacturer" and in the case of a Windows OEM version it is not transferable in any way shape or form from the original system its installed on and lives and dies on that system by its EULA and in some cases by design in the manner of OEM applied methods to disallow it to run on other then the OEM Hardware.

That said, since you're having issues using WiFi, which in some cases is not uncommon, the workaround it to use a wired connection on the Host if only temporarily to test/validate the overall diagnostic/troubleshooting process or bypass an issue with WiFi.

Ultimately resolving a WPA issue is between you and Microsoft not VMware as WPA is in this case a Microsoft End User Issue not a VMware Issue!  So you can try a wired connection on the Host and if it too fails contact Microsoft directly to resolve your Microsoft WPA issue!
