Since I have multiple copies, it's easy to try anything.
So I deleted the .lck folder and tried it again. Still had problems.
So I deleted the .vmss file and tried it again. Still had problems.
So I tried to create a new VM. I will see how this goes.
I have already tried turning the VM machine in the bios on/off to no effect.
I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling VMware.
Do you have any other ideas I might try?
Thanks!
