Workaround:
1. Download trial of VMware Workstation 10
2. Install it
3. Go to VMware Workstation 10 folder in Program Files
4. Find windows.iso, copy to USB or upload it to some hosting
5. Go to guest machine, copy to it windows.iso
6. Inside of guest machine mount windows.iso as disk
7. Install tools
8. Restart guest machine
That's all
P.S. I'm very disappointed, that such big and respected company, as VMware, after almost one month since the issue was raised can't pay 10 minutes and fix bug with CDS-server and allow to their users to download & install VMware Tools without any problems, even if we are talking about free product, like VMware Player!
